Police release update on Titusville Amber Alert
TITUSVILLE, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - On May 15th, the Titusville A Florida Amber Alert was issued for an unknown 15-year-old female last seen being pulled into a SUV in Titusville.
Days later, on May 17th, Police in Titusville said that they were trying to figure out if a missing teenager out of Miami could be the same girl at the center of the Amber Alert from Titusville. Even the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children were interested in seeing if there was a connection.
However, on May 21st, the Titusville Police Department said that their investigators have received no tips on the missing Miami girl and that their investigators are no longer in contact with officials in Miami, as there is no evidence or active lead on any connection between the two cases.
The Titusville Amber Alert remains an open investigation with no active leads.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) says that the female, described as a black teen who is about 5'05" tall, was last seen wearing a green shirt and khaki pants. She has dreads in her hair with one white stripe.
The FDLE says that the teen was last seen being pulled into a vehicle by an unknown dark-skinned person. The vehicle is a charcoal SUV with an unknown tag number. There is an exterior tire on the back of the vehicle.
