FOX11, Los Angeles - What is your biggest complaint about TV sound? Most often, people complain about not being able to clearly hear dialogue and commercials are too loud. The reason for this is TVs are thinner than they've ever been, and so is the sound coming from their speakers. A larger enclosure allows for things like pre-amps and other technology to help power speakers and provide better sound, but you can't stuff all of that technology into paper thin flatscreen TVs. To combat those issues, many soundbars have features accessible through their mobile apps which allow you to customize sound so that you can hear dialogue better, or equalize audio so commercials don't blast you. Some like Sonos have a "night listening" mode which decreases explosions and other loud sounds so you don't wake anyone.
