VIDEO: Monorail gets stuck on track at Walt Disney World
LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (FOX 35 ORLANDO) - Orange County Fire Rescue responded to a call at Walt Disney World Resort late Thursday evening after one of the monorails got stuck on the track with passengers on board.
Fire Rescue spokesman Mike Jachles said firefighters arrived at the scene after 10:30 p.m. to assist the Reedy Creek Fire Department, with evacuations of a monorail after it stalled between the Magic Kingdom and Epcot.
Some of the people on Twitter who posted videos and photos from the scene said they could smell electricity and burning brakes.
Officials have not released details on why the monorail stopped.
