Florida motorcyclist killed in crash after driver violates his 'right-of-way', troopers say

OCALA, Fla. - A motorcyclist has died following a crash in Marion County early Thursday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
Troopers said the collision happened shortly after 4 a.m. at the intersection of SW 80 Avenue and SW 80 Street in Ocala.

Authorities stated that the motorcyclist was traveling northbound on SW 80 Avenue when a car turned left in front of him at the intersection, violating his "right-of-way," according to a news release.
The motorcyclist, identified as a 37-year-old man from Citrus Springs, was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to FHP.
An 87-year-old woman from Ocala, who was driving the car, sustained minor injuries in the crash.
