Orlando weather: Temperatures expected to plummet behind cold front

A strong cold front that swept through on Wednesday afternoon will clear the area this evening, ushering in a wave of colder air with northwest winds of 10-25 mph.

Temperatures are set to plummet overnight and factoring in the wind, wind chills will make it feel much colder.

How cold will it get in Orlando on Thursday?

Morning temperatures will be in the 30s and 40s, with wind chills making it feel like the 30s across much of the region. Despite a chilly start, clear skies and sunshine will help temperatures rise to the mid-60s by the afternoon.

Looking ahead: Friday Orlando Forecast

Temperatures are climbing into the low 70s by Friday and the mid-70s over the weekend. Sunny skies are expected through the end of the workweek, while partly cloudy skies and a chance of scattered showers return for the weekend.

When will the temperatures warm up?

Our cold snap won't last for very long. By Friday, highs will be back in the 70s as more seasonable temperatures last through the weekend.

A few spotty showers can't be ruled out for next weekend as well, with a 30% chance for Sunday.
