Governor-elect DeSantis plans big changes to medical marijuana policy

Governor-elect Ron DeSantis plans to make big changes to Florida's medical marijuana industry.

DeSantis' team is now exploring the idea of doing away with limits on the number of medical marijuana licenses granted throughout the state.

Lieutenant Governor-elect Jeanette Nunez says that DeSantis "is not interested in continuing that fight. I think he has a different perspective than Governor Scott. I think he wants the will of the voters to be implemented."

Florida voters approved medical marijuana in 2016.
