At least one injured after Deltona shooting
DELTONA, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - Deputies are investigating a shooting in Deltona that injured a 35-year-old man early on Monday morning.
Volusia County Sheriff's Office deputies say that they responded to the area of Providence Boulevard and Doyle Road around 3:26 a.m. While on the way, a deputy spotted the victim's vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. Deputies and an ambulance crew caught up to the vehicle. The victim was taken to the Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford and was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Deputies were said to have determined that the shooting was on Kenmore Street, between Abigail Drive and Alexander Avenue. They were on scene Monday morning looking for any evidence.
A nearby neighbor told Fox 35 that deputies knocked on his door looking for information. Thankfully, the neighbor has surveillance cameras on his property.
