FHP trooper shoots driver following pursuit

The Florida Highway Patrol says a trooper has been involved in a shooting incident in Flagler County. Investigators said that the trooper attempted to make a traffic stop around 5:40 p.m. on Wednesday; however, the driver fled the scene. About 10 minutes later, near 16th?Rd. and Ocean Crest Way in the Hammock Beach community, the driver crashed the vehicle.
