Injured alligator now at Gatorland
After weeks of searching, an alligator missing half of its jaw was captured. The reptile is now a resident of Gatorland, where it will be treated and cared for in a controlled setting. Gatorland experts believe that because of how much her jaw has healed, it's possible she has been surviving in the wild for months. One theory explaining the gator's injury is that it might have been caused by a boat's engine propeller.
