Deputies: Kid's fake 911 text was a prank
The Volusia County Sheriff's Office said an 11-year-old girl texted 911 to report that her friend had been kidnapped and was being followed, but it turned out to be entirely false. When deputies arrived, they found the girl holding her cell phone at home with her family. The girl reportedly told deputies that she got the idea from an apparent YouTube challenge and thought it "would be funny," She's was arrested on several charges.
