Woman killed in hit-and-run by box truck was trying to rescue turtle, troopers say

A man suspected in a hit-and-run crash that left a woman dead went before a judge on Wednesday. Miguel Valero Gonzalez, 30, is charged with leaving the scene of a fatal crash, involving death. Troopers said the victim was trying to rescue a turtle on the roadway.
