Nearly a month after Hurricane Helene struck western North Carolina, locals are sleeping in tents where homes once stood, and volunteers from across the U.S. are helping.

Nearly two weeks after Hurricane Milton tore through Central Florida, some areas remain submerged, with residents in parts of Orange City still relying on boats to get around.

After back-to-back storms this hurricane season, many residents are planning to sell their homes to either move out of flood zones, or out of the Sunshine State completely. Some wasted no time with a contract for a new home. 

Some passing clouds and a few sprinkles are possible through Monday evening with breezy conditions and winds up to 20 miles an hour from the east.
