Here are the top concerts, artists of 2024 revealed by ticket data

Concerts and live events had a banner year in 2024 with consumers purchasing tickets at record numbers to see some of the top performers in the world.

StubHub released its annual Year in Live Experiences report announcing this year’s best-selling live music and sporting events globally. The report revealed that live events had a staggering 33% increase in demand year-over-year.

The ticket exchange and resale company assembled a ranking of its top artists and events for the year based on the cumulative number of tickets bought by consumers in that country for 2024 events outside the country the consumers live in, for sales on StubHub North America and/or viagogo as of December 4, 2024. 

Here’s a look at the top artists and concerts this year based on live events and ticket sales.

Top concerts of 2024 in depth

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift performed 116 events in 2024 through Dec. 4 and is StubHub's top global touring act for the second consecutive year, with the Eras Tour becoming a global bucket-list phenomenon. According to the report, Swift’s concerts in Paris had more American consumers purchasing tickets than any other live event outside the U.S. in 2024.

According to the report, Miami is the best-selling tour stop of the year and had the most international ticket buyers of all U.S. concerts.

Swift was also the most-searched artist on StubHub with three-times more site traffic than Coldplay, who is the second most-searched artist, per the report. 

Zach Bryan

Zach Bryan’s ticket sales for his performances made him the second-most "in-demand" musician in 2024. 

StubHub reported that Bryan performed in 85 events through Dec. 4, the third-highest number among this year’s top "in-demand" artists.

Adele

Adele performed in 32 events this year and had one of the most successful concert series this year, with consumers from 134 countries buying tickets to see the Grammy-winner at her residencies in Las Vegas and Munich, Germany.

The "Love in the Dark" singer had the second-highest average price of tickets sold of all artists, following only Taylor Swift. 

StubHub noted that Adele is the third best-selling entertainer, outselling Olivia Rodrigo by 5% with a third of the number of concerts.

Olivia Rodrigo

Olivia Rodrigo performed in 94 events this year as of Dec. 4, ranked as the fourth top-selling artist globally for 2024, according to StubHub.

Rodrigo is known for songs like "drivers license" and "vampire," started her "Guts World Tour" in February. The album that it’s centered on was released in September 2023, FOX Business reported. 

Morgan Wallen

Morgan Wallen had 38 events this year and consumers and the country music star sold the fifth-highest number of tickets globally this year. 

 Wallen told FOX Business he completed his two-year "One Night at a Time Tour" in October, and over 3 million people attended the tour during its run. 

Billy Joel

Billy Joel’s final show of his 150-show Madison Square Garden residency is his highest-selling show. Ticket sales for the show are over 41% higher than sales for his second best-selling Madison Square Garden Show on June 8, 2024.

Consumers from 70 countries bought tickets to see the entertainer perform this year. According to StubHub, Joel outsold U2 by over 11% despite having only 13 events.

Coldplay

Coldplay had 24 events this year and they were one of the top selling artists of the year with consumers from 148 countries buying tickets to see the band perform in 2024, more than any other artists. 

StubHub noted that consumers in Germany purchased more tickets than another country, followed by the U.S. 

Additionally, Coldplay’s shows in Rome and Athens, Greece produced more American consumers than any other tour stops. 

The band was the second-most searched artist on StubHub, only behind Taylor Swift. 

Separately, Coldplay is the top global experience of 2025 in their last year of the Music of the Spheres World Tour.
