Teens arrested after crashing stolen car in high speed chase

A wild scene played out in Orange County Friday morning on W. Colonial Drive and Powers Drive.

A stolen car involved in a high speed chase ended in a bad crash with innocent people hurt.

Orange County deputies said teenage boys on a crime spree put multiple lives at risk before flipping a stolen car, trapping themselves inside and finally being arrested.

“They have multiple felonies prior to this particular incident,” said Orange County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Jeff Williamson.

Deputies said they suspect the teens are behind several residential and vehicle burglaries that were reported Thursday afternoon.

“In one of the residential burglaries, there were multiple firearms stolen by these individuals,” Williamson said.

By early Friday morning, deputies spotted a stolen vehicle linked to those burglaries and began their pursuit.

“They made an effort to block the vehicle from getting away and the vehicle rammed one of our deputies and fled,” Williamson said.

Trying to get away, the suspected stolen car T-boned another car and rolled over. Finally bringing an end to the high speed chase.

An innocent driver and passenger were injured.

The three juvenile suspects inside had to be cut from vehicle.

All were taken to the hospital where one suspect has a broken leg.

The teen boys now face multiple felony charges.

OCSO said the deputy and innocent people caught in the crash are being treated for non-life threatening injuries at the hospital.
