'Suspicious package' at Brevard County school turned out to be beeping blood sugar monitor in trash: officials
MELBOURNE, Fla. - A suspicious package was being investigated at a Brevard County Public School on Thursday, officials said.
The Brevard County Sheriff's Office said they assisted the Melbourne Police Department in reference to a suspicious package at West Shore Jr./Sr. High School.
The suspicious package wound up being a blood sugar monitor that was beeping in a trash can.
"Nothing nefarious," a spokesperson from the sheriff's office told FOX 35.
No other details have been released.
