Police investigate carjacking at day care
ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - A quick day care drop off in Orlando turned into a crime scene for a mother and her child.
An Orlando mom was taking her child to the Ava S.B. Green Children's Enrichment Center on Covington Avenue Friday morning. As she left the car running, she walked around the car to get the child, when a man ran up near the driver's side and yelled at her to get the kid out quickly.
She grabbed her child and the thief jumped into the driver's seat and took off. Police found the car a few hours later.
No one at the daycare wanted to talk. Parents are now keeping an eye out and making sure they turn off their car before going into the daycare.
One woman told FOX 35 News, "I'm in total disbelief. Total Disbelief."
