Poinciana High School placed lockdown after student runs off during search: officials

KISSIMMEE, Fla. - Poinciana High School was placed on lockdown due to a "suspicious incident" on Tuesday morning, according to deputies.
A spokesperson for The School District of Osceola County informed FOX 35 that the school administration was in the process of searching a student when the student left the campus.
As a precautionary measure, the school was placed on lockdown, according to the school district. All students and staff are safe.
FOX 35 is working to learn why the student was being searched. No other details were immediately released.
