Man tries to have judge murdered while in jail
LAKE COUNTY, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - Deputies say that Robert O'Hare, a man who is already in jail for previous charges, was charged with solicitation to commit murder on January 30th. He allegedly tried to have a judge for his case killed.
O'Hare has reportedly been charged twice before. Once in 2015 for child pornography and again in 2016 for placing hidden cameras inside miniature juke boxes that were ultimately delivered to neighborhood children so that he could record them in their home.
O'Hare is looking at more charges now for trying to hire a hit man. Fox 35 reporter Matthew Trezza got ahold of court documents that claim he called his mother and gave her a coded message to pass to a family friend. The message reportedly spelled out "Kill Briggs." Judge Don Briggs was the one who sentenced him to 20 years in prison for child porn.
O'Hare was turned down and deputies say the friend notified them of O'Hare's plot.
