Man identified and arrested after bank robbery

The Seminole County Sheriff's Office reported that there was a bank robbery on January 8th at the Bank of America on Tuskawilla Road in Winter Springs.

At about 12:35 p.m., deputies say that the suspect, identified as 22-year-old Shamir Carillo, entered the bank and presented a note demanding cash from the teller, while implying he had a weapon. The teller complied with the demands and handed him an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect then fled the scene.

Deputies say that on January 10th, Cariollo was arrested for his involvement of the robbery on January 8th. He was located at his residence at taken into custody. 

He was booked into the John E. Polk Correctional Facility on charges of robbery and grand theft. He remains incarcerated on a no bond status.
