Governor-elect wants clarification on how to restore felon voting rights
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - Governor-elect Ron Desantis is pushing the pause button on Amendment Four.
Amendment 4 was passed in November during the midterm election. The amendment will restore voting rights to felons once they've served their sentences.
DeSantis tells reporters that he wants lawmakers to agree on a bill that would clarify how to restore the voting rights of felons. He says he wants to make sure all 67 counties implement the new amendment in the same way.
