TAVARES, Fla. - An AMBER Alert has been issued for a missing boy in Tavares, Florida.
Authorities are looking for Jace Saunders, 5, and his grandma, Kelly Day-Dasilva, 50. They may be in a black Honda Accord, according to the FDLE Alert.
The boy was last seen wearing a black graphic t-shirt and dark-colored pajamas (the same outfit in the photo above), authorities said. He was last seen in the 1000th block of Wells Avenue in Tavares, Florida.
Saunders is semi-verbal and has been diagnosed with autism, according to the Tavares Police Department, who issued an alert for a missing endangered child earlier on Sunday.
According to Tavares Police, the boy's parents – Taylor Judy and Brandon Saunders – were arrested on Sunday for interference of child custody related to an ongoing Florida Department of Children and Families investigation.
The grandmother, Day-Dasilva, is wanted for kidnapping and interference of child custody, police said.
Their whereabouts are currently unknown, police said.
"Our detectives and officers are still following leads, however any further assistance from the community would be appreciated. (352)343-2101 option 4," police said in a Facebook post.
