‘Flags In' tradition to be held at Arlington National Cemetery Thursday

The U.S. Army Old Guard will continue their “Flags In” tradition of placing an American flag at every gravesite throughout the hallowed grounds of Arlington National Cemetery on Thursday.

Around 1,000  3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) soldiers will place a flag at more than 250,000 gravesites within four hours in honor of our nation’s fallen heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for Memorial Day.

“Flags In” will start at 2 p.m. According to The Old Guard, the ceremony has been conducted annually for more than 50 years.
