Eastbound I-4 exit ramp to Lee Road shifting one-half mile sooner

The eastbound Interstate 4 (I-4) exit ramp to Lee Road is shifting about one half mile sooner and combining with the eastbound I-4 entrance ramp from Fairbanks Avenue, reports the I-4 Ultimate Project.

On the morning of October 10th, motorists who want to exit Lee Road (Exit 88) will be required to do so nearly one half mile sooner. The new temporary configuration will shift Exit 88 on eastbound I-4 immediately following the Fairbanks Avenue interchange. The Exit 88 ramp will merge with the eastbound I-4 entrance ramp from Fairbanks Avenue.

By shifting the exit ramp and on-ramp onto newly completed travel lanes, the eastbound I-4 auxiliary lane between Fairbanks Avenue and Lee road on the existing travel lane will close. This is to create more room to construct permanent eastbound I-4 lanes and accommodate future traffic shifts.
