Authorities join together for 'Goodnight Lights' event at Arnold Palmer Children's Hospital

ORLANDO, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - The Orlando Police Department and the Orange County Sheriff's Office joined together on Tuesday night at the Arnold Palmer Children's Hospital in Orlando for their 'Goodnight Lights' event.

Officers and deputies flashed their lights at the kids in their rooms and in return, the kids flashed their room lights back before heading to bed. 

A special patient joined Orlando police officers to kickstart the event. Video was posted onto their Twitter page showing the boy using a 'magic wand' to turn on the lights of several police vehicles. 

A little girl did the same during November's Goodnight Lights event.
