Armed carjacking suspect identified as search continues

Investigators have identified the man behind a crime spree in Central Florida.

Deputies and police from Tampa are in Orange County looking for Majar L. Jones.

They say that on Wednesday, Jones stole a car in Orlando and led deputies on a cross-county chase all the way to Polk County. That's where investigators say he swiped two more cars.

Thankfully no one was injured.

Jones is still at large and the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office says that he may still be in the stolen 2002 green Ford F150. He should be considered armed and extremely dangerous.

Deputies say that Jones is a black male, about 6'7", between 200 and 210 pounds, and was last seen wearing a green shirt and blue jeans. The Ford F150 he may possibly be driving has Florida tag 9379TJ.

Anyone who spots Jones or knows of his whereabouts should immediately dial 911. You can also contact Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS (8477).
