Affordable elegant courthouse weddings

Orange County, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - If you're ready to say “I do” how about a cool summer alternative?  Wedding Ceremony Rooms in select Orange County courthouses make exchanging your vows elegant and affordable.  Dain Weister, the Communications Director for the Clerk of Courts says it's all part of elevating the customer experience.

"We have this new room, we now have appointments people can make online to schedule their ceremony and get their marriage license, so it makes things easier and more exciting too," reveals Weister.

At the Orange County Courthouse, the room is decked out with a warm romantic decor.  It also has a dozen modern chairs for family and friends who want to attend. 

"It's actually beautiful, says groom Christopher Calef,  I love all the little sayings they have, how loving it feels. You would love to get married in here."

Calef and his bride Alba Lopez decided to tie the knot in one of the ceremony rooms. 

"I'd rather spend the money on my child, or my house, or on a vacation.  A chance to spend more time together as a family to make longer memories than just one day of stress," says Lopez.

The cost for the ceremony room is just $30 dollars in addition to fees for the marriage license.  It's a far cry from the national average of $35,000 for a day of holy matrimony.

"This is a very cost effective way of doing it, but we're still hoping we're creating memories that will last a lifetime," says Weister.
