1 child, 2 adults dead after fiery crash

A horrific crash on Colonial Drive at Silverton has left two adults and a small child deceased.

"It was the worst sound that you could ever imagine. It was big impact, a big loud boom. I've never seen something catch fire so quickly, five second after impact the whole car was engulfed," said Antual Rigel, who was trying to come to grips with what happened right in front of him. "I actually seen that one right there eject out of the window. It's the worst thing I've ever seen."

After impact, half of the family's car was wrapped around a large tree.

"I saw the car on fire. I saw the bodies on the ground. I tried to jump out and help," said Russell Bellamy.  "The fire was so hot, I couldn't get to her. I feel really terrible about that... it's a tragedy. I wish I could have done more."

Orlando Police say a deputy in the area made heard the impact and made it to the scene moments later.  Another deputy and a fire truck arrived seconds later.

"They ran over to try to assist the people inside the vehicle but were overtaken by the heat and flames," said Sgt. Eduardo Bernal.

Police have not yet identified the victims.  Raymond Anderson says it was his nephew and his nephew's family.

"He went and dropped the kids off at school and was coming back.  They've been gone since 9 o'clock this morning," said Anderson.

He says the time frame matches up and witnesses described what his nephew's car looked like before it went up in flames.

OPD's Traffic Homicide Unit is still working to determine the cause of the wreck.
