FOX 35 Care Force: Seminole County deputy revives child

This week, the FOX 35 Care Force is honoring the heroic work of a Seminole County deputy who sprang into action to revive a toddler who had fallen into a family pool and drowned. Deputy Gibran Bakhshi said he was in the right place at the right time to receive the urgent 911 call, and the young girl is expected to make a full recovery.

FOX 35 Care Force: Honoring Project for Hope founder

Rollins College Senior created Project for Hope to donate stuffed animals to kids in the hospital. Cecilia Hernandez knows first-hand what it is like to be in and out of hospitals due to several health complications. Since 2012, her charity has grown to include volunteers who have helped donate more than 1,000 stuffed animals to the Ronald McDonald House of Central Florida.

Local elementary students donate business earnings to nonprofits

Billie Taylor, Annabelle Wright and Grayson Salmons sell plastic critters to students at Woodlands Elementary School, where they are in fifth grade together. To date, they have donated their profits to three local charities: Back to Nature Wildlife Refuge, the food pantry at Woodlands Elementary and The Sharing Center, a social services hub. The students talk about their mission and why it's important.

911 dispatcher receives first 'Florida's Finest' award

FOX 35 News first reported about Ashley Willis when she saved the life of a pregnant woman whose 911 call was dropped. Willis is now the first recipient of the Florida’s Finest Service Award. It’s an award that honors Floridians who take courageous action to make their communities stronger and safer.
