Poll: Florida voters split on President Trump's job performance
(FOX 35 WOFL) - Florida voters are evenly split over the job President Trump has been doing, according to a new poll.
A Florida Atlantic University poll released Thursday shows a near tie between voters: 44 percent approve of the job the president is doing and 45 percent disapprove.
Trump's approval rating has risen since February when it was at 41 percent.
When it comes to hate crimes, however, 35 percent of Floridians find the president 'very responsible' and 37 percent said he is not responsible.
The president's ally, Governor Ron DeSantis, continues to ride a wave of high marks from Florida voters.
According to the same poll, DeSantis scored 54 percent approval of the job he's doing his first three months in office. Just 19 percent disapproved.
His public policy on allowing Florida to import prescription drugs from Canada to lower the costs was met with 75 percent support.
