"Little did I know he had big plans," she wrote on Facebook.
Jermaine decided to use the vacation money to provide food for evacuees fleeing Hurricane Dorian. He set up a stand and handed out hot dogs, chips and soda to everyone who stopped by.
"The people that are traveling to go to other places, I wanted them to have some food to eat, so they can enjoy the ride to the place that they're going to stay at," Jermaine said.
His mother says she couldn't be more proud of how selfless Jermaine is at such a young age.
"He has a very big heart and all around caring spirit. It definitely makes it a birthday to remember for him."
Jermaine's mother says she plans on taking Jermaine to Disney World very soon.
