SpaceX to launch Falcon 9 rocket on Wednesday, bringing supplies to the ISS

A SpaceX launch is scheduled for this Wednesday.

SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket is expected to lift off on Wednesday from Cape Canaveral. It will bring 55,000 pounds of cargo to the International Space Station (ISS). These supplies will support dozens of the more than 250 science and reserach investigations that will occur during Expeditions 59 and 60.

NASA says that this is the 17th SpaceX mission under NASA’s Commercial Resupply Services contract.

It will reportedly take two days for the spacecraft to reach the space station. It is estimated to arrive at the ISS on Thursday.

The launch window opens at 3:59 a.m.
