Robbery suspect on the run after fleeing from police, crashing into vehicle

Casselberry and Winter Park police are searching for a robbery suspect, after he pulled a gun on a chiropractor inside his office.

Investigators say he then went on a wild ride, injuring two people.

Investigators say it all started when a chiropractor was robbed in his office.

Dr. Chris Turner said, "I had a gun against my head. I could have been shot. I could have been killed."

Turner said the man was wearing a green shirt and was covering his face when he walked in.

"He said, 'Give me your money.' He took my fanny pack, which I'm pretty upset about. That had all my stuff, including my money. And then he took a safe."

Turner said he talked loud enough for the business next door to hear he was in trouble, so they called 911.

Police tried stopping the suspect as he drove a stolen black pickup.

Lt. John Montgomery, of the Winter Park Police Department, said, "He didn't stop, so we initiated a pursuit and he took off."

Police chased the suspect into Casselberry, where he hit two people in a gray Ford and took off running, leaving the stolen car behind.

The Florida Highway Patrol said Kimberly Lovre, 52, and her 16-year-old daughter, Leia, are in critical condition.

Police say the suspect changed out of the green shirt and put on another one while he was in the truck.

Turner says it's upsetting to hear that two others were injured, all because of money. He hopes the suspect is caught.

"Now that he hurt other people, I want to make sure justice is served because that's horrible. This entire thing was extremely unnecessary. To threaten someone else's life, to jeopardize your own life and potentially harm innocent peoples' lives, is not worth any amount of money," Turner said.
