Small plane crashes in Osceola County; 2 transported to hospital
KISSIMMEE, Fla. (FOX 35 ORLANDO) - Authorities in Osceola County are responding to a small airplane crash, about two miles southwest of St. Cloud.
A fixed wing, single-engine Velocity XL-RG-5 was found in a field near Kissimmee Park Road around, 1:40 p.m. on Wednesday. Two occupants were transported to area hospitals. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has been notified and is investigating.
According the FAA, the plane is registered to Net Trek, Inc., of Lanexa, Virginia. It is not clear where the plane was going or where it came from; however, the closest airport is the Kissimmee Gateway Airport, which is approximately seven miles to the northwest of where crews found the plane.
