I-95 southbound lanes shut down after semi-truck fire

COCOA, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - There was a vehicle fire on Monday morning that shut down the southbound lanes of I-95 in Cocoa, Florida.

The Florida Highway Patrol says the fire occurred on Southbound I-95, just south of SR-528.

They say that the semi-truck driver lost control and struck the concrete divider on the ramp. The vehicle overturned on its side and caught fire. 

They also mentioned that the driver was able to get out of the vehicle, but was totally engulfed in flames. He was transported to a hospital in critical condition.

Southbound I-95 was shut down at mile marker 208. The ramp from SR-528 (both eastbound and westbound) to southbound I-95 also was shut down.
