The Winter Park Police Department reports that there was a fire at a large home on North Park Avenue.

They say that heavy fire was going through the roof of the home prior to the Winter Park Fire Department arriving.

Upon arrival though, firefighters used a RAM nozzle for quick water and also immediately set up their aerial device for elevated master stream operations.

Crews reportedly fought the fire from a defensive posture, due to the size of the fire and multiple collapses, including a basement collapse.

Police say that no one was at home at the time and there were no injuries reported. The fire is now under control, but crews remain on scene to fully extinguish hot spots.

The Winter Park Fire Department is working with the State Fire Marshal to determine the cause of the fire.
