Man in bunny suit helps break up fight in Downtown Orlando

Person dressed as Easter bunny helps break up fight in Downtown Orlando

Only in Florida and only in Orlando: A man dressed up as the Easter Bunny is caught on camera throwing a series of one-two punches.

It all started Sunday night in Downtown Orlando.

Antoine McDonald says he wore his bunny suit out for fun. He was out with his cousin and his friend. They were walking to a club when he saw a man spit on a woman. He said the woman punched that man and a full blown fight broke out.

“I see this lady and this guy going back and forth, and I’m just looking at it and walking," he said. "Then I see him spit on her and she starts hitting him, so I walk over there. I try to help. I try to break up the fight at first. I felt I had to do something to help get him off of her to make sure she got away from fight safely and unharmed.”

A gaggle of onlookers started egging McDonald on, laughing and carrying on that he was dressed as a bunny.

Club promoter 'Workkk' captured video of the brawl on his phone.

“Only in Florida; only in Orlando you see a bunny fighting, you’ve got to pull your phone out."

He immediately posted the video to Instagram and it started going viral.

“It was like 20K views, 30K views.”

That video is now up to over a million views.

Orlando police ultimately broke up the fight. Investigators tell The News Station that no one was arrested. That’s because no one was injured and no one involved wanted to press charges.

McDonald and his friends carried on with their night and received lots of attention because of that bunny suit.

“I’m walking down the street going about my day in my bunny suit and people are like, 'Oh, did you just get in a fight? Was that you?' I’m like, 'Excuse me?'” McDonald said.

Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear bunny suits.

“I didn’t expect this, honestly,” McDonald said.

He says he bought the bunny costume months ago at Walmart and that it was a coincidence that this all happened on Easter.
