New details revealed on three new Disney cruise ships coming to Port Canaveral
PORT CANAVERAL, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - Port Canaveral officials met on Tuesday to discuss a new line of Disney cruise ships docking in Central Florida.
Port Canaveral Cruise Terminal 8 is getting a major upgrade to accomodate three new Disney ships.
The ships, coming in 2021, 2022, and 2023, will hold at least 1,250 staterooms each. One of the ships will be 1,119 feet long, making it Disney's longest ship by 4-feet.
The name 'Disney Triton' was found in the Port Commission meeting's agenda on Tuesday, meaning that this could be the name of a new ship or even Disney's new class of ships.

Triton is defined as a son of Poseidon. He is a demigod of the sea with a lower part of his body like that of a fish.
The ships are expected to be ready by 2023 at the latest.
