Orlando weather: Cool start to the week before warmer temperatures and midweek rain

Orlando PM Weather Forecast: March 2, 2025

We are in for a pleasant start tot he workweek with a few sprinkles on tap for Monday and Tuesday. But we will see some more widespread rain mid-week. Find out when as FOX 35 Meteorologist Laurel Blanchard breaks down the forecast for Central Florida.

The Brief

    • Temperatures will drop into the upper 40s and 50s overnight, with clear skies and a chilly start to Monday before warming up in the afternoon.
    • A weak system may bring a few showers Monday evening, while a stronger cold front on Wednesday could usher in rain and possible thunderstorms, followed by cooler temperatures later in the week.

ORLANDO, Fla. - REST OF THE EVENING/TONIGHT: 

Temperatures fall into the upper 40s and 50s as the chill behind the cold front that moved through last night sets in. Clear skies are on tap through the overnight.

MONDAY: 

Keeping the nice weather rolling right into the start of the workweek. With the cool temperatures from last night, you will need a jacket as you head out the door tomorrow morning, but temperatures will warm up quickly through the late morning. 

In the afternoon, as a very weak system sets up, easterly flow sets up along the east coast, pushing moisture off the Atlantic and bringing in a few showers into the region. Partly cloudy skies and a few sprinkles stick around for the evening with partly cloudy skies Monday night.

LOOKING AHEAD: 

Temperatures warm up on Tuesday and Wednesday ahead of our next system with highs flirting with the 80s on Tuesday and Wednesday. 

A cold front pushes through Wednesday ushering in rain and possible thunderstorms. 

Although the severe threat does not seem to dip into Central Florida at the moment, this large system will cause severe weather in the  Deep South and Midwest. 

This will bring some much-needed rain to the region. After the front, temperatures will pop back down into the upper 60s and low 70s and slowly rebound by the end of the workweek.
