Orlando Weather Forecast: Prepare for more heat and storms Monday

WHAT IS THE WEATHER FORECAST FOR TODAY AROUND ORLANDO?

Overnight forecast low: 77 degrees
Tomorrow's forecast high: 96 degrees

Main weather concerns: Super muggy over the next few days with "feels like" temperatures reaching 105-108°, which fall into the heat index "danger zone." In Central Florida, torrential storms will also develop, likely to dump 2"-4" of rain with frequent lightning and gusty winds.

WHAT IS THE WEATHER FORECAST FOR WALT DISNEY WORLD, UNIVERSAL, AND SEAWORLD?

Expect morning sunshine and very muggy temps. with little air movement. Get ready to sweat! There will be late-afternoon scattered storms on Tuesday with heavy rain expected.

WHAT IS THE WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE BEACHES IN CENTRAL FLORIDA?

A southwest flow off the Gulf means we'll see muggy overnight lows closer to 80° and daytime highs in the mid-90s, but with a feels-like temp between 105-108°. Storms in this flow will rush the beach from the west so if you see dark skies threatening, get ready to clear the sand to avoid the lightning threat. Seas will range from 2-3' with a moderate risk for rip currents, especially during low tide

LOOKING AHEAD: A southwest flow means each day through Wednesday, we could see several rounds of rain about 4-6 hours apart.  (Typically we get one storm in the afternoon, and that stabilizes the atmosphere preventing further rain.) This southwest flow shifts to a more typical southeast flow midweek and that means the sea breeze will drive our rain chances each day and we'll likely only see, "one storm each day" Thu/Fri. Drier mornings then, will be followed by widespread late-afternoon gully-washers, but rain that will end by 8pm!
