ORLANDO, Fla. - It's going to be a chilly New Year's Eve in parts of Florida.
Temperatures are expected to quickly drop into the 30s and 40s Saturday night, and again into the mid-40s as the clock strikes midnight on New Year's Eve. As a result, FOX 35 has declared Weather Impact Days for Saturday and Sunday.
A freeze warning has been issued for parts of Alachue County and north-central Florida, near Jacksonville. Crops and sensitive vegetation could be damaged.
Parts of Marion County, including Ocala, are under a frost advisory, where patchy frost is possible. Remember the so-called four Ps: people, pets, plants, and pipes. Make sure to check on all of them as temperatures drop.
