Group protests against bill on transgender athletes

Gov. Ron DeSantis on Tuesday signed a wide-ranging education bill that includes a ban on transgender females participating on girls’ and women’s high-school and college sports teams. Critics say the legislation is purely political and not aimed at solving a real problem. It was also notable that DeSantis the legislation into law on the first day of Pride Month.
