Palm Bay's sprawling 3,000-acre area known as "The Compound" — long infamous for crime and as a site where several bodies were found —may soon see a major transformation. USA BMX has proposed a redevelopment plan that, if approved, promises an estimated annual economic impact of $2.5 million, totaling over $10 million within the next five years.
