How much is too much caffeine?
To caffeinate or not to caffeinate? That is the question! Caffeine is a natural stimulant found in plants. According to the Food and Drug Administration, when you compare an 8-ounce cup of coffee, to an 8-ounce energy drink, and a 12-ounce can of soda, the energy drink, by far has the most caffeine, followed by coffee, then soda. The amount of caffeine in drinks varies by brand, so the numbers are based on averages. Dr. Jamin Brahmbatt of Orlando Health tells FOX 35 that it’s important to note, if you’re drinking coffee to wake up, you may just be dehydrated. Dr. Brahmbatt says new research shows people who drink their daily allotment of water feel just as energetic as people who drink coffee to keep going throughout the day.
