Persimmons Fire: Officials say 8 homes damaged by Brevard fire

Homes were being evacuated in Brevard County on Friday afternoon as firefighters battled an approximately 20-acre wildfire. The 'Persimmons Fire' is burning in the area of U.S. Highway 1 and Camp Road in Cocoa. Eight homes has sustained damaged from the fire as of Friday afternoon, four of which were completely destroyed. One firefighter has been injured battling the blaze.
