The woman told FOX 35 News that an unknown number of African-Americans, including her great-uncle, was murdered in November 1920 for trying to exercise their right to vote on election day.

Up to $150,000 would be available for direct descendants of each person "killed, injured, or otherwise victimized" by the 1920 violence, which happened after a black man attempted to vote in the Central Florida community.

FIre officials said that two people and several animals were inside the home when the fire broke out.
