Labor Day travel: 165K passengers expected at MCO

Orlando International Airport (MCO) said more than 900,000 people were expected to fly in and out over the Labor Day weekend. Monday, Sept. 2, expected to be the busiest day with 164,000 people are expected to arrive and depart.

'Strange noises' coming from Boeing Starliner: astronaut

One of two NASA astronauts stuck aboard the ISS space station after continued issues with Boeing's Starliner capsule told NASA recently that "strange noises" appear to be coming from a speaker inside the capsule. That astonaut asked NASA to check it out. NASA determined that it would have Boeing's Starliner capsule return to early uncrewed due to safey concerns, meaning the two astronauts would return to early in 2025 with another crew.

Seawall construction this week in Volusia County

Construction will begin this week on a buried seawall to protect State Road A1A. This second seawall runs from Sunrise Avenue to Marlin Drive in Ormond-By-The-Sea, Volusia County. Construction begins Sept. 3. Drivers should expect restrictions along this stretch of the roadway.
