Blue is Back: The city of Orlando celebrates the return of the Blue Man Group

Today a celebratory ceremony was held as the Blue Man Group returns to Orlando after over 3 years. After 14 years performing at Universal Citywalk the theatre shut down due to COVID-19 but now the group returns with a brand new show and theatre in Icon Park. Today city officials spoke and the group gave a sneak peak performance.

Apalachee High School shooting: Suspect was on FBI radar in 2023

The FBI and the Jackson County Sheriff's Office revealed 14-year-old Colt Gray was on their radar about 16 months ago, and was questioned about reported posts on an online gaming site threatening to shoot up a school. The FBI, in a joint release with JCSO, stated there was not enough evidence to charge Gray.

Apalachee High School shooting victims identified

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has identified the four people who were killed during a shooting at Apalachee High School on Wednesday morning. In a press briefing Wednesday night, the GBI identified the victims as Richard Aspinwall and Christina Irimie, both math teachers, and students Mason Schermerhorn and Christian Angulo, both 14 years old.

Lifeguard accused of running over women facing lawsuit

A former Volusia County Beach Safety sergeant appeared in court facing a lawsuit after being accused of running over two teenagers on the beach. One of the victims has sued Sgt. Arthur Gendreau, alleging he was driving carelessly.

New villains show coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

Say goodbye to Lightning McQueen's Racing Academy at Disney World's Hollywood Studios. That show will end on Oct. 7. The stage will be revamped to showcase an all-new live villains show featuring Magic Mirror, Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook, and Maleficent. The new show will premiere in summer 2025.

Wrongful death lawsuit filed in Boar's Head listeria outbreak

The family of an 88-year-old Holocaust survivor has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Florida-based Boar's Head linked to the deadly listeria outbreak. The family of Günter Morgenstein, who lived in Virginia, filed the lawsuit last week in Florida. There have been 9 deaths and 57 hospitalizations across 18 states connected to the outbreak, per the CDC.

Florida unsolved cold case: Who killed Laralee Spear?

Laralee Spear, a 15-year-old girl at Deland High School, was reported missing by her mother on April 25, 1994, after she got off the school bus and did not return home. Her body was found hours later next to an abandoned, burned house on Deerfoot Road in Volusia County. Police said the teen had been shot multiple times. Her murder remains unsolved. On Tuesday, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement joined the case to review evidence.

Orlando residents, city staff at odds over severe flooding

Why is a street in an Orlando neighborhood flooded? And what can be done to prevent it from happening again? Those are two of several questions residents are demanding of the City of Orlando. Some residents blame construction, which could have blocked storm drains. Commissioner Patty Sheehan got into a heat discussed with residents and said it was "an act of God," and that the city is not responsible.

Boeing Starliner to undock, return to Earth without crew

Boeing's troubled Starliner spacecraft is expected to undock from the International Space Station on Friday evening without its crew -- and land hours later at White Sands Space Harbor in New Mexico. The Starliner has been troubled with helium leaks on launch to the ISS. Astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams will remain at the ISS until February 2025 -- months longer than their initial mission -- and will return with Crew 9.

Volusia County lifeguard in court, faces lawsuit

A former Volusia County Beach Patrol sergeant apologized in court Tuesday after he ran over two women sunbathing at the beach. He was on-duty at the time and talking with a colleague. A traffic citation was dismissed by the state, the judge said. He is potentially facing a civil lawsuit from one of the victim's in the case.

Attempted kidnapping victim speaks to FOX 35

A woman was forced into the trunk of her car in the parking lot of a Walmart in Orlando, according to police. Another woman saw what was happening and stopped the kidnapping in progress before the suspect was tracked down.

Seminole County roads flood after heavy rain

The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a River Flood Warning for the Little Wekiva River and portions of Orange and Seminole counties, where approximately 3 to 4 inches of rain had fallen. A Flood Advisory is in effect for portions of Osceola County near St. Cloud.

Flood warnings issued after torrential rains

Heavy afternoon showers caused severe flooding over parts of Central Florida on Wednesday. A FOX 35 News crew observed large areas of standing water and overflowing storm drains along Red Bug Lake and Tuskawilla roads in Casselberry.
