‘The Batman’ review: Why so serious?

The latest take on the Caped Crusader, Matt Reeves' “The Batman” offers a weirder, less likable Bruce Wayne (Robert Pattison) and some slightly subversive things to say about its own genre. Review: ‘Studio 666’ sends Foo Fighters on a sonic highway to hell

“Studio 666”, the new horror-comedy starring the iconic ‘90s alt-rock band Foo Fighters, might not be Good Cinema, but it's easy to forgive the film its trespasses because, well, everyone's having so much dang fun. Film critic Clint Worthington reviews the latest from Dave Grohl and company.

Streaming spotlight: Apple TV+‘s ‘Severance’ is riveting

Adam Scott gives the performance of his career in “Severance” — a good thing, as Apple TV+‘s nimble, riveting workplace thriller-dramedy is enough to make its audience think seriously about retirement, to say nothing of its cast. Here's TV critic Allison Shoemaker's review.

Review: Unfortunately, ‘Uncharted’ isn’t quite a national treasure

“Uncharted” has two slam-bang action setpieces, some lackluster plotting, a charming leading man turn from Tom Holland, an ensemble of wasted supporting players and a woefully miscast Mark Wahlberg. Does that add up to a hidden treasure or a disappointing haul? Well, that lies in the eyes of the fortune hunter. Here's film critic Caroline Siede's review.
