Orange County audit finds bridges went unmonitored for years

Cracks, wooden pilings, and loose metal present the most problems for bridges in Orange County. They have been inspected after an audit found 28 of 100 bridges in the county were not monitored for three years.  FOX 35 News dug into the audit to find out what led to these changes.

Orlando preparing for air taxis

Orlando is getting serious about air taxis. Private companies are already building new technology to move people through the air locally. Cities will need to develop vertiports, where these vehicles will take off and land and Orlando is laying the groundwork for such sites.

Hunter's Creek community fighting planned Brightline route

A high-speed train could soon be yards from Hunter's Creek homes. Tracks are planned to run along State Road 417 near the Orange County community. According to an attorney representing the Hunter’s Creek Community Association and Hunter’s Creek Town Center Property Owner Association, it potentially could disrupt the area and drive home prices down.

Florida toll road project could see change

Jefferson County would no longer be the northern endpoint for a proposed extension of the Suncoast Parkway, under a bill approved unanimously Tuesday by the House Commerce Committee.
