Multi-vehicle crash in DeLand closes I-4

Westbound lanes of Interstate 4 reopened late Thursday night after being closed for several hours due to six different crashes involving 15 vehicles. In total, five people were transported to area hospitals. Witnesses told troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol that it was raining during the time of the crashes. The sequence of events that led to these crashes is still under investigation, troopers said.

Man dies after being struck by two vehicles in Orlando, FHP says

A 63-year-old Orlando man was killed early Saturday after he was struck by a vehicle and knocked to the ground, and then stuck by a second vehicle moments later, according to Florida Highway Patrol. FHP said the man was walking along Orange Blossom Trail near Rosamond Drive.
